Christmas Day

Christmas Day is in the books and a fun time was had by all.  Kodeman and Caitlin, came by to open presents and eat with us. Lisa spent quite a bit of the day preparing the meal.  We had a large ham, cheesy potatoes, Rhodes Rolls, asparagus and Strawberry jello dessert.  It was fantastic and as usual I ate more than enough.

The after dinner activities included a a new bourbon for me to try  It was Woodford Reserve.  I had done a little bit of research on best bourbons and the name kept popping up.  I picked up a bottle at our hometown liquor store, Swedes Liquor.  We mixed it with a dash of Coke and it was pretty tasty.

Then as the libations went down the presents were opened.  I was blessed with some cool gifts.  Kody gave me a Black and Decker drill set, Lisa gave me some JC Penny dress shirts and my Mom gave me the book "George Washington's Secret Six.  It will go on my three books a month reading list.

So all in all a very successful day. The only downside is that my Kelsey and her husband, Ryan could not be here,  California to Kansas is a bit of a drive for a day trip.

Till next time, Remember, Live Life at Full Speed!!
